Journal Submissions

The Hastings Law Journal gladly considers unsolicited manuscripts by members of the legal community. The Journal is currently accepting submissions, and will begin reviewing them for publication at the end of February. We strongly prefer submissions on-line via the online submissions service ExpressO. We also accept submissions via email and regular mail.

The Journal also welcomes both formal and informal responses to articles appearing in the Journal and will consider such responses for publication.

Submissions should be double-spaced, typewritten, with citations in either footnote or endnote style. We prefer articles that are under 30,000 words, including text and footnotes.

Citations should conform to The Bluebook (19th ed. 2010).

All submissions should be accompanied by a cover letter and a brief abstract. All necessary contact information should also be included.
